BIG-T :Big-T comes from The Tomatin Distillery Compagny. The Tomatin Distillery Compagny's premise is not only one of the highest in the country, it is also thelargest capacity distillery in the country, with production as high as 5 million gallons per annum.(More than 12 million litres of alcohol)
The company declined in the 1980s and went into receivership, but was bought by the Japanese firms ofTakara Schuzo and Okura, thus becoming the first Scotch whisky distillery to be acquired by Japanese owners.

Founded in 1897, the distillery boasts 23 stills. It draws its water from Allt-na-Frithe burn, and at 1,028 feet above sea-level is one of Scotland's highest distilleries.
From the Gaelic, Tomatin means "the hill of the bushes".
